Our Professional Staff and Advisory Personnel Are Headed By Ed O'Brien Mr. O'Brien has been involved in law enforcement for over 30 years. He is currently on leave of absence from the Chicago Police Department where he spent seventeen years assigned to all areas of investigations. In 1988, Mr. O'Brien attended a 40-hour course on Investigating Fraud in Government Entitlement Programs at Arizona State University. This course was the first of its kind, offered by the U.S. Department of Justice and the Arizona State University Law School. In 1990, he formed O'Brien & Associates, a full service private investigation agency specializing in the prevention and detection of fraud in government entitlement programs as well as full-range private investigation services. Mr. O'Brien has been a guest speaker at both State and National Seminars on investigative procedures. He is a past president of the Wisconsin Council on Welfare Fraud, and past board member of the National Organization, the United Council on Welfare Fraud. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner as well as a Certified Welfare Fraud Investigator. He served on the State advisory committee to develop Performance Based Standards for the Wisconsin State Welfare Fraud Program, and is currently serving on the State Private Detective Advisory Committee as well as the Disciplinary Review Panel. In 1997, Mr. O'Brien was included in Strathmore's Who's Who Registry of Small Businesses. He is now serving as a State appointee to the National Business Advisory Council and was a 2002 Gold Medal recipient at the National Entrepreneur's Convention in Washington, D.C..
